Kenya’s Ministry of Agriculture Opens Recruitment for 354 Vacancies

The Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development, through its State Department for Livestock Development, has launched a major hiring drive, inviting applications for 354 contract-based job openings across multiple service areas in Kenya.

This recruitment effort aims to strengthen the department’s operational capacity by bringing in qualified professionals and skilled support staff to serve on one-year contracts in both administrative and field-oriented roles.

The advertised positions cover a wide range of grades and functions, offering opportunities for both entry-level and experienced candidates. Among the roles available are:

  • Clerical Officer II – 44 positions

  • Office Administrative Assistant III – 20 positions

  • Office Assistant IV – 65 positions

  • Driver III / Plant Operator III – 32 positions

  • Artisans – 35 positions

  • Receptionist Assistant III – 8 positions

  • Security Warden III – 55 positions

  • Cook III – 20 positions

  • Housekeeping Assistant III – 20 positions

  • Animal Husbandry Assistant III – 55 positions

These roles are designed to support essential functions ranging from office management and logistical support to livestock services and technical assistance.
