Malava MP Moses Malulu Injendi Passes Away in Nairobi: Political Legacy and National Mourning.

Malava Member of Parliament (MP) Moses Malulu Injendi passed away on February 17, 2025, at 5:15 PM, while receiving treatment at Aga Khan University Hospital in Nairobi. National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang'ula confirmed the news, expressing deep sorrow over the loss.

Injendi, serving his third consecutive term since 2013, was the Vice Chairman of the Departmental Committee on Education and Research. He was recognized for his unwavering dedication to his constituents and significant contributions to legislative processes, particularly in the education sector and sugar industry reforms.

Tragically, the Injendi family faced a double loss, as Moses Malulu Injendi's brother had passed away just hours before the MP's demise. This marks the second recent loss in Kenya's legislative body, following the death of Baringo Senator William Kipkorir Cheptumo on February 15, 2025.

Injendi's political journey began in 2013 when he was first elected to represent Malava Constituency on a Maendeleo Development Party (MDP) ticket. He successfully defended his seat in the subsequent 2017 and 2022 General Elections under the Amani National Congress (ANC) banner. His leadership and commitment to public service have left an indelible mark on his community and the nation.

As the nation mourns the loss of a dedicated public servant, plans for his memorial and funeral services are yet to be announced. The passing of Moses Malulu Injendi is a significant moment for Malava Constituency and the broader Kenyan political landscape.
