Arsenal have been tipped to win their first-ever UEFA Champions League title after Opta’s supercomputer predicted victory over defending champions Paris Saint-Germain in the 2026 final.
The highly anticipated showdown will take place at Puskás Aréna on May 30, with both clubs aiming to crown impressive European campaigns with continental glory.
According to the latest simulations by Opta, Arsenal have a 55.76% chance of lifting the trophy, while PSG’s chances stand at 44.24%. The prediction has placed Mikel Arteta’s side as slight favourites ahead of the final in Budapest.
Arsenal secured their place in the final after edging past Atlético Madrid 2-1 on aggregate in the semi-finals. The Gunners won the second leg 1-0 thanks to a decisive strike from Bukayo Saka, reaching their first Champions League final since 2006.
Meanwhile, PSG booked their spot after a dramatic semi-final clash against Bayern Munich. The French giants progressed with a 6-5 aggregate victory following a tense 1-1 draw in the second leg. Ousmane Dembélé scored early in the match before Harry Kane equalised late for Bayern.
The final presents Arsenal with a chance to make history by winning Europe’s biggest club competition for the first time. PSG, on the other hand, are targeting back-to-back Champions League titles after winning the 2025 edition against Inter Milan.
Arteta’s men have enjoyed an impressive European run this season, remaining unbeaten throughout the tournament while boasting one of the competition’s strongest defensive records. Leandro Trossard recently expressed confidence ahead of the final, insisting Arsenal believe they can overcome any opponent on the biggest stage.
