KRA Launches Major Recruitment Drive: Here’s How to Apply.


 The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) has unveiled a sweeping recruitment campaign, calling on Kenyan professionals to apply for a range of critical leadership positions as it advances its modernization agenda. Announced on July 21, 2025, this strategic recruitment push is part of KRA’s 9th Corporate Plan, aimed at enhancing agility, service delivery, and innovation across the institution.

What Roles Are Available?

KRA is recruiting for 15 top-tier leadership positions, which include:

  • 3 Commissioner roles, responsible for overseeing major departments such as Shared Services, Business Strategy & Technology, Investigations & Enforcement, and support for Micro & Small Taxpayers.

  • 12 Deputy Commissioner positions in specialties like Trade Facilitation, Tax Dispute Resolution, Revenue Monitoring, Business Transformation, Risk Management, Information Security, and more.

In an effort to maximize inclusivity, KRA has re-advertised certain Deputy Commissioner roles along with one Commissioner position, encouraging broader participation.

How to Apply: Step-by-Step Guide

1. Register on the KRA E-Recruitment Portal

  • Visit the e-recruitment portal and click “Register” to create an account.

  • Confirm your email address to complete registration.

2. Complete Your Candidate Profile

  • Log in and access the Applicant Cockpit.

  • Go to Candidate Profile → My Profile, then fill in all personal, educational, and professional details accurately.

3. Find and Apply for Openings

  • Navigate to the Employment Opportunities tab and click “Start” under Job Search.

  • Select your desired position and click “Apply”.

  • Ensure all required fields are completed, and accept the Data Privacy Statement before submitting using the “Send Application Now” button.

4. Prepare Mandatory Clearances

Successful applicants will need to submit the following as part of compliance with Chapter Six of the Kenyan Constitution:

  • Certificate of Good Conduct (DCI)

  • HELB clearance

  • KRA tax compliance certificate

  • Ethics & Anti-Corruption Commission clearance

  • CRB report
